The following is a brief review of some of our more general web-based development projects over the past 5-7 years, presented in alphabetical order. While many of the samples below are either no longer online or we are no longer associated with, they are still excellent examples of our work and what we can do. Note that every one of these projects utilized web programming and an underlying database in some capacity...

AFSS Content Management System. This training site was designed to allow paying students to learn more about various financial topics. Page elements include a Flash-driven navigational system, text, graphics, audio (delivered via Flash) and associated page navigation. Courses also involve exams. Additionally, the site leverages sophisticated JavaScript to enable the dynamic Flash-based navigational system to "talk" to the underlying database and help make the overall system "SCORM" compliant.

AFSS Corporate Dynamic Website. Precision Marketing and the Academy of Financial Services Studies (both in Milwaukee, WI) contracted with Madison Productions Inc. to rebuild their corporate website. Site features include online scheduling/calendar of events, complete e-learning center (including Demo), bookstore and library, news and organization information, and full search capabilities.

Apex Online Training System. This site was created to help train salespeople that subscribe to the Apex way of doing things. The system itself is large and complex, and accommodates system administrators, students, their "coaches" and their managers. Students interact with the system every day for six weeks, and complete assignments, take exams and generally communicate with their coaches.

Content Learning Management System. In the spring of 2001, we contracted with a local Fortune 500 company to build a complete CLMS (content learning management system). The final application could be managed and updated by non-technical educators, was sophisticated enough to handle unlimited numbers of state-specific modules, complete enough to track scores/results and produce detailed reports, yet simple enough for an older and more conservative audience to intuitively and successfully interact with.

CUNA & Affiliates Content Learning Management System. Our very first content learning management system (developed under subcontract with Madison Productions Inc.), this flagship system originally included a customized learning management system (LMS) driven by a series of Active Server Pages (ASP) and managed via a centralized SQL Server database, providing module-based online training utilizing text, audio and graphics (as well as a series of exams).

Department of Veterans Affairs Website. Here we helped the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs leverage ASP programming tied to an underlying Access database. The site featured full text searching, the ability to minimize the entire graphical display, rotating artwork/captions (focusing on the DVA Museum in Madison, WI) and customized “banners” that highlighted key pages.

Door Pottery E-Commerce Website. A great example of a simple yet elegant custom site, we helped to develop an entire site complete with full e-commerce capabilities. This site was originally completed for less than $2000—including all original design, artwork, programming and e-commerce work.

Dynamic Massage Website/Scheduling System. This business needed both a new website and an online scheduling system. A corresponding administrative component was also developed to review client appointments, insure that the correct number of therapists would be available to carry-out massages, and manage both the scheduling system as well as web interface.

JobSight Skills Matching System. Designed to join organizations needing work done with the professionals looking to secure that work, the site caters to government-based and cooperatives as well as private businesses. Unlike virtually all other attempts to match jobs with talent, JobSightUSA strongly leverages individual, trackable and verifiable skills instead of highly subjective resumes.

LISten™ Employee Performance System. This online application allowed corporate employees to complete online surveys regarding one another's skills and overall performance. An administration module allowed managers to establish various surveys and assign employees to review and be reviewed, as well as allowing managers to print surveys out and perform associated statistical analysis.

Lori Lins Ltd. Website. This talent agency in Milwaukee, WI began with a dynamic website, where an administrative module controlled the actual "public" website (online newsletter, an FAQ ("Frequently Asked Questions") section, online glossary and more). A complete talent management system was then implemented which today allows clients to search for talent by a variety of parameters & media type.

Shotgun Productions Website. Created for a theater production company in New York City, this site delivers a simple yet elegant public site that is administratively controlled via a second “administration module.”

State of Wisconsin TASP Site. Developed for the State of Wisconsin Department of Information Technology back in 1999, this online application stores contract information that any public organization can use to purchase state-authorized resources. Hence, the site brings together in one place virtually all of the state contracts out there.

WiLEARNS Literacy Portal Website. In 2001, the Wisconsin State Literacy Director wanted to build a "portal" website that brought together virtually everything related to the teaching of literature. The award-winning WiLEARNS website is now used by thousands of educators throughout Wisconsin and is being positioned as an ideal source for literacy-based knowledge and information nationwide.
